Faux Paws in Concert

About this event

The Faux Paws are a triangle band in a land of circles. Blazing fiddle tunes, saxophone solos, tight brother harmonies and heartfelt songs all share the stage in a sound that won’t fit a single genre: part old-time, part bluegrass, part jazz, and part something nobody has named yet. Brothers Andrew and Noah VanNorstrand grew up playing contra dance music, and multi-instrumentalist Dean Miller came up through bluegrass and jazz, so everything they play rides on a groove you’ll feel in your feet. Now a four-piece with upright bass, the band puts on a live show that’s virtuosic, playful and personal, the kind of night that leaves first-timers feeling like they’ve found a great secret. The local band Green Bush Spring will provide an opening set of music. $25 FFS members and advance tickets online at FresnoFolklore.net , Patrick's Music, and National Hardware. $30 at the door for general audience.
