At its September 16 Special Board meeting, the North Fork Kings GSA Board of Directors approved the GSA’s Rules and Regulations, which include the framework for its groundwater allocation program. This approval brings the GSA one step closer to implementing allocations. Building on last year’s educational workshop series, this workshop on November 17 will explain how the allocation system will work, what it means for your operation, and how to prepare for the first year of allocations during the 2027 irrigation season.

Landowners who attend will:

• Understand how the approved allocation rules apply to your operation, including options for carrying over and transferring water.

• Learn what to expect in 2027 and how the phased reduction in temporary groundwater allowances gives you time to plan.

• Get answers to your questions and identify steps you can take now to prepare your operation.
