- ➤ Fresno State’s art program was declared the School of Art, Design & Art History on Jan. 22 at the Phebe Conley Art Building; department chair Holly Sowles said the renaming marks growth with six programs, 51 faculty, and 710 major graduates. The Collegian
- ➤ Fresno State welcomed returning students today as the Spring 2026 semester began; many set plans to check Canvas regularly + attend sports events and adopt new study habits for success. The Collegian
- ➤ Fresno State’s Student Association of Geomatics Engineering hosted its 65th Annual Conference on Jan. 22 and 23 (organized by 21 students) with guest speakers, award ceremonies and networking for students and professionals. Over $1 million in scholarships were awarded, and planning for next year’s event is underway. The Collegian

- ➤ Harness racing returns to the Big Fresno Fair for the first time in a century. Race events will take place at the Fresno fairgrounds in December as the California Horse Racing Board approved 38+ dates with primary racing days on Saturday and Sunday. KMPH
- ➤ On Oct. 24, Fresno State's swim and dive team will celebrate senior day at the Aquatics Center by honoring eight seniors before the 12 p.m. meet against the UC Davis Aggies. The team will hold two more meets before the Mountain West championships. The Collegian
- ➤ Fresno State added QB Khristian Martin from Maryland and several defensive transfers during the Jan. transfer portal, while TE Richie Anderson III transferred to Texas A&M. The portal was open Jan. 2 to Jan. 16 and the full transfer list will be announced Feb. 4. GV Wire
