- ➤ The Wonderful Company announced over $1.5M in community grants through its Central Valley Community Grants program, awarding funds to 43 local organizations in three rural Fresno County cities. - ➤ A Fresno Denny’s will reopen on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 8 a.m. at 1746 W. Shaw Ave (corner of Shaw and West), offering giveaways to the first 25 guests and a special-edition coffee mug with free refills for a month; it will continue to serve guests 24 hours a day. The Business Journal

- ➤ Fresno’s historic Van Ness arch, built in 1925 by downtown merchants when Railroad Avenue carried U.S. 99, stands in a quiet industrial area and may be moved to H and Mariposa Streets when Railroad Avenue closes for high-speed rail. The relocation is planned ahead of the new rail station. KVPR
- ➤ Actor Danny Trejo appeared at Fresno City College Forum Tuesday to share his journey in career and recovery, highlighting roles in Desperado + Heat. His discussion offered local insight into his experience and upcoming projects. KMPH
- ➤ Luke Bryan will perform in Clovis for his 2026 Farm Tour on May 15 at Owens Mountain Parkway-Highway 168 triangle. Tickets cost $75 in advance and are available starting Feb. 6 (doors open 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m.), supporting local farmers and FFA students. KMPH

- ➤ Fresno Unified School District dismissed a retiree letter filed Jan. 22 that accused the district of elder abuse amid Aetna Medicare Advantage issues, calling the claims (baseless). - ➤ During a doc talk broadcast at 11:45 p.m. yesterday, Dr. Rais Vohra explained how improper home heating can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning (a serious risk on cold nights) and urged local residents to review their heating practices. ABC30
- ➤ Covered California held an event on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at My Homies Kitchen in downtown Fresno to remind residents to sign up for or renew health coverage before the Jan. 31 deadline.
