- ➤ Art Terzian of A&T Ceramic Tile in central Fresno says he fears his business may be next after two massive fires near Blackstone and McKinley. The city is working to secure properties and begin demolition while the Terzians face a trial this fall over control of their building. KMJ Now
- ➤ Attorney General Rob Bonta announced this week a ban on blackjack at local cardrooms in Fresno, sparking criticism from business owners including Club One Casino owner Kyle Kirkland (President of the California Gaming Association). - ➤ Biz-Werx's electric vehicle sharing program has faced vandalism and low usage at charging stations across the city, with one station in downtown remaining fully operational. - ➤ The Marjaree Mason Center is leading teen dating violence awareness efforts in Fresno this February by implementing its “kNOw MORE?” program in 43 school sites across five districts. - ➤ A law signed last summer will change student loan repayment when new options become available on July 1, 2026; borrowers should contact their student loan providers to check if they are grandfathered into current plans as choices narrow to a standard term or income-driven option (the Repayment Assistance Plan).
