  • At the 11th Annual Support the Blue Run on Saturday at Woodward Park in Northeast Fresno, thousands saw the new multi‑million‑dollar Fresno Police helicopter featuring advanced video and thermal imaging systems that help safely locate suspects while funds raised support local first responder programs.  ABC30
  • During Beautify Fresno Day, volunteers cleaned Chinatown while lion dancers performed in front of local stores to honor their efforts (highlighting community spirit).  KMPH
  • Fresno Humane Animal Services is asking local volunteers aged 18 or older to foster animals until Tuesday as the shelter is full. Fresno Humane will provide supplies to those who fill out a foster form (details available).  KMPH

SPORTS NEWS

  • At the CIF State Championship in Bakersfield today, Buchanan's girls and boys wrestling teams made history by each winning state titles. The girls (147.5 points) earned their first title while the boys secured their tenth title with a 59 point lead.  ABC30
  • Fresno State’s women’s basketball lost 68-54 to UNLV on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Save Mart Center. Head Coach Ryan McCarthy said the team (with only eight players) struggled on offense and will adjust before its regular season finale on March 3.  The Collegian
