GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Chevron warned that the air board’s cap-and-invest changes may raise gas prices by a dollar or more and drive energy companies away plus urged state leaders to reconsider the plan. The board will accept public comments until Monday, Mar. 9 and discuss the proposal in late May.  KMPH

SPORTS NEWS

  • Fresno State women's basketball earned three All-Mountain West honors for 2025-26. Senior forward Jaisa Gamble, standout freshman Ava Marr, and guard Emilia Long received nods as the team begins its championship run at 5 p.m. today against Reno at Thomas + Mack Center in Las Vegas.  The Collegian
  • Fresno State’s women’s basketball team won 74-57 in Las Vegas on March 7 after a strong 13-0 run against Nevada-Reno, and they will face UNLV in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. tomorrow.  The Collegian
