  • Mary Rigsbee celebrated her 105th birthday on Sunday at Magnolia Crossing Assisted Living in Clovis with an ice cream social instead of a cake. Her family said her secret to longevity is hard work, humor (and a little Crown Royal), and she stays active with the Clovis Rodeo Association.  KMJ Now

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A Fresno High School student passed out during PE on Monday and later died after being taken to the hospital, Fresno Unified confirmed.  ABC30

CRIME NEWS

  • Clovis East High School, Reyburn Intermediate, and Reagan Elementary were placed under shelter-in-place orders Monday after police investigated a suspicious call during lunch — staff moved students indoors and adjusted conference plans to ensure safety.  GV Wire
  • PG&E reported in 2025 that nearly 24,000 scam attempts, including phone calls & door visits, left Fresno County utility customers losing about $301,000 while small businesses were also targeted during busy hours.  KMPH

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Local gas prices in the Central Valley reached $5.20 on Monday as global supply chain disruptions from ongoing conflict in Iran drove up costs at the pump, affecting both store owners and drivers who now face higher prices and are reconsidering travel plans (Jack's Gas Stations reported a 20-cent increase).  ABC30
  • Gas prices rose to over $8 in Los Angeles due to global tensions + strict state regulations, but Fresno drivers saw prices remain much lower, with a Fastrip in Kerman selling regular gas for $4.19 on Sunday and an EZ Trip on Shaw Ave offering $4.43 on Monday.  GV Wire

  • Fresno restaurant manager Psalm Behpoor, detained since June 2025 for a nonviolent felony, was released on bail Friday for $20,000 and is now with his family as he awaits his next hearing.  GV Wire
