  • Fresno State’s CAMP held a César Chávez commemoration at the Peace Garden on March 13 to honor the activist’s 99th birthday. The event featured a dance by Los Danzantes and speeches from his family and leaders — the campus will close on March 31 for Chávez Day.  The Collegian

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission’s reserves dropped from $15 million to $125,000, leaving questions about missing funds at the anti-poverty organization that helps thousands. Gregory Weaver on Fresnoland explains that details remain unclear & further review is expected.  KVPR

  • Fresno State softball ended its six-game home losing streak with a 6 to 2 win at Margie Wright Diamond, led by pitcher Lauryn Carranco.
