  • The new Clovis Times will replace the Clovis Roundup with a monthly print format — planned to expand to biweekly — as it launches its website on Monday, Apr. 13 and releases its first issue on Friday, May 1.  KMPH

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Multiple grass fires caused heavy traffic on Highway 180 and Highway 41 in Fresno Tuesday morning and firefighters worked to contain the flames while drivers sought alternate routes.  KMPH

  • Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey’s The Greatest Show on Earth returns to the Save Mart Center after a 10-year break with five shows from July 2-5. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 14, at 10 a.m. online and at the box office with opening night discounts and kids tickets.  GV Wire

  • Clovis East High School's Career Technical Education Emergency Response program earned national accreditation for its fire tech courses and will be formally recognized Thursday at the school as it plans to add afternoon classes and expand fire service career pathways.  ABC30
  • Dr. Russel Statham, the long-serving CEO of Girl Scouts of Central California South, announced he will step down on August 4 after eight years in office, and Interim CEO Delailah Fajardo-Rosencrans (who currently serves as Chief Mission Delivery Officer) will lead operations beginning August 5 as programs continue without interruption.  KMJ Now

FINANCE NEWS

  • PG&E is automatically applying the California Climate Credit to eligible residential & small business accounts, which will lower April bills by $46.26 for natural gas users and $36.18 for small businesses with electric service. No action is needed to receive the credit.  KMPH

  • Local health experts in Fresno advise parents to prioritize self-care as rising work and financial pressures have increased stress levels. Licensed therapists say making small adjustments in daily routines & asking for help can ease burnout and strengthen family well-being.  ABC30
  • A fundraising campaign has been launched to support Fresno police officer Kobe Biedermann’s family as his newborn son diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot will have heart surgery on May 12 and remain in the hospital for nearly five weeks (the campaign aims to raise $20,000 with $3,690 already raised).  GV Wire
