- ➤ U.S. News and World Report released its 2025 Best Senior Living communities rankings Tuesday, listing nearly 1,900 communities nationwide and naming three in Fresno County plus two in Tulare County. The report recognized Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens, The Vineyards—California Armenian Home and Fairwinds-Woodward Park for their top independent, assisted living and memory care options. - ➤ Randy's Donuts, an iconic shop near Fresno State, opened yesterday at Shaw and Maple—drawing dozens who waited over an hour for free glazed donuts and t-shirts. - ➤ Charges have been filed against 30-year-old Dyllan Padavona (also known as Hopkins) for the alleged April 11 attack on longtime City of Fresno electrician Tim Smith near Kern and G Streets; Smith is in critical condition and Padavona faces charges including attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon that could lead to 12 years to life in prison. - ➤ A Fresno man, Dyllan James Padavona — also known as Dyllan James Hopkins, 30 — was charged with attempted murder after he attacked city worker Timothy Smith in the early morning hours last Thursday, leaving Smith with severe injuries that required emergency surgery and leaving him in critical condition as Padavona faces multiple charges. - ➤ Fresno police are searching for missing 11-year-old Kentravis Davis, who was last seen at 2 p.m. near Dwight Way south of Cedar and Butler avenues wearing a white shirt, shorts and black Nike shoes— anyone with information is urged to contact the department. ABC30

- ➤ Today, the City of Fresno began a street paving season on nearly 30 roads including McKinley Avenue, where crews will remove old asphalt and repave lanes using 34 million dollars from Measure C and state and federal funds. Officials said residents should expect road closures with eastbound lanes closing first—followed by westbound lanes. KMJ Now
