- ➤ California invested over $50 million in Cap-and-Trade funds to build 114 affordable, energy-efficient homes at the Dakota project in Fresno, which broke ground on April 11. The state also used the funds to permanently conserve 10,361 acres of working ranch lands in Mariposa and Merced counties & support cattle grazing while boosting conservation efforts & meeting growth goals. - ➤ Fresno City Council approved preliminary work on bike lane expansions along three corridors—including sections like First Street, Downtown Loop, and Olive Avenue—to improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians.
