- ➤ A 52-year-old father admitted to stabbing his 25-year-old son outside their Fresno apartment near Cedar and Shaw avenues on Wednesday at about 4:45 p.m.—the son later died at Community Regional Medical Center and the father was booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of homicide. - ➤ Fresno’s Tower District will host its annual free music and art festival on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.—local hosts open their porches and yards over a three-square-mile area between Fruit and Blackstone and Belmont and Shields avenues while advising walking or biking to keep the event car-free. - ➤ The American Lung Association released its annual State of the Air report on April 24 using data from 2021 to 2023, and it ranked Fresno-Hanford-Corcoran third for particle pollution — Bakersfield-Delano topped the list while Visalia followed closely.
