- ➤ A man was arrested for felony evading after a 911 call reported a driver being chased on Highway 41 by a white pickup truck in Fresno — CHP officers attempted to pull the truck over near Tulare Street, chased it north to American and Fruit Avenues, and ended the pursuit at Annadale Avenue when the truck crashed and the suspect fled into a muddy vineyard before being caught. - ➤ The Fresno Unified School District will vote Wednesday night to change one of its bylaws as part of its new student outcomes-focused governance model, and officials say this is a routine update. Teacher union president Manuel Bonilla called the move anti-democratic + claiming it shifts accountability from trustees to the superintendent, though district representatives said union interactions with the board will not change. - ➤ The CDC reports that cardiovascular disease kills one person every 34 seconds, making it the nation’s leading cause of death and a major health challenge for Fresno.
