- ➤ Today, a local nonprofit called Dakota Eco Gardens provides eco-friendly tiny homes for unhoused residents in Central Fresno to create a sober living community where residents care for the garden and grounds for one year to regain stability. Community donations and volunteer support (including Fresno State students) help fund the project that aims to assist about 10 people a year. ABC30
- ➤ Pinky Paws rescued three ducklings from a storm drain in Parlier after a similar rescue in Kingsburg last week. The group used a phone to mimic quacking sounds to lure two ducklings while extra noise helped coax the third out over several hours. KMPH

- ➤ A man in his 20s died after his motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck late Friday on Maroa and Fedora avenues in central Fresno, and first responders spent several minutes retrieving him from a canal before he was taken to the hospital as police investigated if speed or alcohol contributed. - ➤ Fresno police investigated a deadly crash — which occurred Friday evening at the intersection of Clovis and Shields avenues — where one person died at the scene and family identified 19-year-old Jordan Galvez as the second victim who succumbed to his injuries Saturday. Your Central Valley

- ➤ 18-year-old Caleb Quick was fatally shot outside Clovis McDonald's over a week ago and a new surveillance video shows the suspect stalking him like prey—leaving his mother deeply hurt and prompting Valley Crime Stoppers to raise the reward to $10,000 to help find his killer. ABC30

- ➤ On May 1, Dolores Huerta—a veteran civil rights leader—spoke at Fresno City College about issues ranging from racial and economic inequality to farmworkers' rights, drawing on her decades of organizing and advocacy.
