  • Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno is overwhelmed by a surge in backyard breeding that has led to more dogs needing foster care. The nonprofit is urging local residents to help by fostering or volunteering — it provides vet care, medication, and food to support each foster family.  KMPH

  • A pedestrian believed to be unhoused died after being struck by a vehicle late Saturday night on Blackstone Avenue near Saginaw Way in Fresno—police said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.  Your Central Valley

CRIME NEWS

  • Two teens—18-year-old Maddux Greene and 19-year-old Jordan Galvez—died in a suspected DUI crash on Clovis and Shields Avenues on Friday night in Fresno and a candlelight vigil was held while 28-year-old Jagat Singh was arrested on charges of DUI, murder, and driving a stolen vehicle with bail set at $1,321,000.  Your Central Valley

  • Fresno State held a 50th anniversary celebration of Hmong American Day today as local leaders and community members joined cultural events—lectures, a parade, and a ceremony honoring veterans. Congressman Jim Costa and Clovis Mayor Vong Mouanoutoua spoke about the sacrifices of Hmong families who came from Laos to help build the community.  Your Central Valley
