  • Papa's Place and The Edge Coffee House in Old Town Clovis held a fundraiser on Saturday to support the Galvez and Greene families after a drunk driver crashed their Ford Focus during the first week of May— the collision caused the car to spin, hit a fence and catch fire, resulting in the fatal loss of both teens.  KMPH
  • Nearly 900 Fresno residents walked 3 miles at Woodward Park on Saturday to raise over $41 thousand for NAMIWalks—demonstrating strong community support for mental health awareness despite the heat. The event aimed to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health by bringing neighbors together.  KMPH

  • A 19-year-old man was critically injured after he was shot at a Fresno party on Saturday night near Sussex Way and Gilroy Avenue — police say a single suspect fired at the large gathering and are investigating the incident.  Your Central Valley
  • Two teens were arrested after 18-year-old Caleb Quick was fatally shot outside a McDonald’s in Clovis on April 23—police said a 16-year-old boy is accused of shooting Quick after waiting inside the restaurant and his 16-year-old girlfriend, the suspected getaway driver, is expected to be charged as an adult given the crime was planned.  Your Central Valley
  • A 32-year-old man was shot in the chest on Belmont Avenue and Orchard Street on Sunday night—an argument sparked the shooting—and he was taken to a nearby hospital while police are searching for the gunman.  ABC30
  • A bicyclist died after an unidentified black sedan struck him and fled the scene on Belmont Avenue and Thesta Street in central Fresno Sunday afternoon.  ABC30
