EDUCATION NEWS

  • Fresno Unified Superintendent Misty Her admitted that a dossier — created with AI help — given to the Fresno Teachers Association included inflammatory quotes that were not real. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Fresno was ranked the seventh most dangerous metro for pedestrian safety after around 500 fatal or serious crashes—including 127 pedestrian deaths—from 2018 to 2022, according to the city’s Vision Zero report. Local leaders are now working to improve crosswalks, sidewalks, and traffic measures around schools to boost safety.  Fresnoland
  • Fresno will open three cooling centers this Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ted C. Wills Community Center, Mosqueda Community Center, and Maxie L. Parks Community Center—Fresno Area Express will offer free bus rides to help residents reach the sites. Clovis has partnered with Sierra Vista Mall to offer a cooling site on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.—Clovis Transit is providing free rides for those needing transportation.  GV Wire
