  • The Sierra Crossing affordable housing center has opened in Fresno to offer safe housing and support to 18 to 24-year-olds who have aged out of foster care. The $23 million project was built in partnership with Valley Teen Ranch & the city using off-site construction and provides counseling and job support services.  Your Central Valley

  • Fresno detectives and other agencies arrested 15 men on charges of possessing and sharing child sexual abuse material plus attempting to meet a child between June 9 and June 13 after executing 11 search warrants in Fresno and Madera counties and seizing 61 electronic devices.  KMPH

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Fresno Unified School District is serving free summer meals until July 17 at 90 school sites for children ages 1 to 18; the program serves breakfast and lunch on site with no application needed and feeds about 10,000 kids daily—using locally sourced items to keep meal quality the same as during the school year.  ABC30
