- ➤ Clovis Police are asking for help to locate Surinder Pal, a 55-year-old man described as at risk (he was last seen in Fresno on June 22 around 6 p.m. and his car was found near Temperance and McKinley avenues on June 23) and anyone with information is urged to call Clovis PD at 559-324-2800. - ➤ Central Unified School District opened Jaswant Singh Khalra Elementary School— the first U.S. elementary school named after a Punjabi hero— on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. at 4061 W. Fountain Way in Fresno. District leaders said the event celebrated human rights and honored the legacy of the Sikh activist. KMPH

- ➤ On Father's Day, plainclothes immigration agents arrested two men outside an ICE contractor’s office in downtown Fresno without proper identification, and local law enforcement officials expressed worry about the risks of public confusion — officials fear that bystanders might mistake them for typical criminals.
