ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Crews are investigating two fires that broke out less than 24 hours apart at the Mission Thrift Store in north Fresno, with the first fire starting around 3 a.m. (Friday) and flames spreading to nearby storage units while the store remained undamaged. ABC30
- ➤ A two-vehicle crash killed a 24-year-old Clovis man on Thursday when his Subaru did not stop at a sign and was hit by a Ford driven by a 55-year-old Parlier man at 2:35 p.m.—the Ford driver suffered moderate injuries and both drivers wore seatbelts with no signs of alcohol or drugs. KMPH

- ➤ 44-year-old Blake Benham, a former principal in Dinuba, was sentenced to 23 years and 8 months in prison after a December 3rd, 2023 DUI crash that killed two women & injured two others when his Ford F-150 hit another vehicle at 62 mph on Road 56 & Avenue 430. KMPH
- ➤ A suspicious device described as bags containing a propane tank with red and green wires triggered an evacuation of the Social Security office at 5140 E. Olive today as the bomb squad (Fresno Police Department Explosive Ordinance Disposal) arrived and nearby businesses (advised to shelter in place) awaited further updates. KMPH

- ➤ Fresno vendors say a comment by Councilmember Arias about a possible ICE raid cut foot traffic at the Cherry Auction Swap Meet. They delivered 50 hand-signed complaint letters to city leaders demanding an explanation—vendors plan to follow up next week. KMPH
