- ➤ On Fourth of July, an illegal firework ignited a blaze at Templeton Feed and Grain in San Luis Obispo County, reducing the 77-year-old business to a steel star while investigators search for 4 to 6 people seen near the scene and local firm Penny-Newman Grain & community members offer support as the company faces an $800,000 product loss and cancelled insurance. - ➤ Fresno police arrested six teens on June 30 after they assaulted a 73-year-old man near Quigley Park (who suffered a brain bleed and needed surgery) and a 40-year-old man near Weber and Hughes Avenue, and they recovered the stolen vehicles used in the attacks. KMPH
- ➤ A Fowler officer conducted a traffic stop on Thursday and discovered a stolen revolver from Texas, leading to the arrest of two individuals (both had outstanding felony warrants) without incident, and the weapon was secured as evidence. KMPH

- ➤ Residents in South Fresno will gather to voice opposition against the City of Fresno's plan to annex 80 acres for industrial use— the Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability will hold a meeting on July 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Orange Center Elementary School's library to protest the lack of community input and the alleged risk to local families’ health and safety.
