  • On Saturday morning, the City unveiled 20 murals at San Pablo Park funded by a $5 million Clean California Local Grant awarded in 2022.   • A 36-year-old man died Friday night when his Mercury Milan veered off Chestnut Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. and plunged into a canal south of Fresno, with witnesses reporting he struggled to call for help before rescuers pulled him from the water and pronounced him dead—his vehicle had fully submerged before aid could arrive.  GV Wire
  • First responders rescued an individual sitting on the edge of a multi-story garage in downtown Fresno on Friday morning—Fresno Fire, Fresno Police and American Ambulance talked with the person for two hours before transporting them for treatment.  KMPH
  • A man drowned after his Mercury Milan crashed into a canal near Malaga on Friday evening — witnesses said he exited the vehicle and called for help before rescuers were too late.  Your Central Valley

  • Authorities are investigating the suspicious death of a man aged 76 found in East Central Fresno Wednesday morning after reports of a missing person led them to locate his body.  ABC30

  • Grand Rising—an alcohol-free day party—is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9 at Invictus Ink where organizer Evan Nebeker will feature DJs, local wellness vendors and healthy eats with cold brew and coffee.
