- ➤ Today, Fresno restaurant manager Psalm Behpoor of Pismo’s Coastal Grill was detained by ICE on a decades-old charge he already served, and the community is urged to email letters of support as friends launch a GoFundMe campaign to help his family. KMPH
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Garnet Fire started on Sunday afternoon near Rodger’s Ridge and burned 3,338 acres in eastern Fresno County, prompting mandatory evacuations for zones K27, K30, and K31 — residents in zone K29 received warnings as firefighters worked to slow its spread. ABC30

- ➤ State lawmakers will vote in September on SB 68 that would require restaurants to list menu items containing nine common allergens—such as peanuts, shellfish, and tree nuts—to better protect people with severe allergies.
