  • The Starbucks on Blackstone and Barstow Avenues in Fresno closed on Sept 25 — a sign notified customers of the planned shutdown — as part of a downsizing plan that cut about 900 jobs. CEO Brian Niccol said the move affected roughly 1% of the company’s locations under the Back to Starbucks strategy.  KMPH
  • A new members-only lounge will open in Northeast Fresno at Cedar near Herndon - the PM Lounge will offer Michelin Star dining and entertainment while accepting over 200 membership applications for its 800-person capacity; the club will hold its two-day grand opening on November 14-15, and the membership cost has not been shared.  ABC30

  • The 25th Annual Guelaguetza Fresno celebration highlights local culture—organizer Judith Martinez discussed this year’s theme that honors Fresno traditions. The event brings the community together in a vibrant display of heritage.  ABC30
  • ClovisFest returns to Old Town Clovis this weekend with hot air balloons, music, food, and activities for families—visitors can enjoy balloon rides, cultural shows, and a kids’ business fair along Pollasky Avenue.   • Kaiser Permanente's new 146,000 square-foot facility near Herndon and First will open on October 6 to add more doctors, labs, and a full pharmacy for residents. The expansion was built over two years to meet growing local health care needs—ensuring more access to care.  ABC30
