- ➤ At Arte Americas, a Day of the Dead altar honors Filipino labor leader Larry Itliong, who led the 1965 Delano Grape Strike when workers walked off their jobs over low pay and poor access to water and bathrooms—his legacy celebrated today. - ➤ An annual event on October 20 brought together NICU nurses and families at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno. The celebration featured a photo booth, games, activities, and food trucks — and part of the food truck proceeds will help fund next year's event. ABC30

- ➤ Valley residents lost service and saw delays on Monday when a global tech outage from Amazon Web Services disrupted cell service, credit card processing, and online learning as many waited in long lines at local Verizon stores. - ➤ Dave’s Hot Chicken opened a new location in Fresno in the former Burger King by Fashion Fair Mall—drawing strong interest from local youth eager to try its popular chicken slider with pickles and sauce. - ➤ Fresno State launched its Lead with Pride: The Campaign for Fresno State fundraising drive on Oct. 20 to boost education, research and community partnerships — it followed a record-setting fiscal year that raised nearly $39 million and supports four key pillars to improve student success.
