- ➤ Ron Dailey, a Selma hunter, survived nearly 20 days lost in the Sierra National Forest before returning home to his relieved family. He said faith, determination, and the rationed food kept him alive, and his loved ones & local search crews helped bring him to safety. KMPH
- ➤ Ron Dailey, a man from Selma who went hunting on October 13th near Swamp Lake Trail east of Dinkey Creek, got stranded in the snowy mountains when his truck broke down and he used it for shelter—he said a Tahoe with a shining headlight rescued him. Volunteers and law enforcement mounted a large search, and he was taken to Clovis Community Medical Center before being cleared to go home. ABC30

- ➤ American Pistachio Growers received a $1M grant from the California Department of Food and Agriculture to start a regional pest management project that will fight the navel orangeworm damaging Central Valley nut crops.
