About the Films:
Doon, directed by Sarine Arslanian, uses Armenian dance to explore collective memory, diasporic identity, grief, and the journey toward healing and belonging. St. Vassily, directed by Masha Egieva, is a historical drama set in the Soviet Union in 1982, following a theology student forced to choose between his faith and his future. Armenian Abode, directed by Hrair Kalemkarian, offers an intimate portrait of Bourj Hammoud, Lebanon, and the Armenian community that transformed a temporary stop into a lasting home. Land, directed by Tsolak Mlke-Galstyan, is a visual reflection on the pain of war, displacement, and loss, alongside the enduring love and hope connecting people to their homeland. Urish, directed by Eva Rafaelyan, is a fashion film exploring the fragmented memories and complex identity of a Third Culture Kid growing up between cultures. Finally, The Space Between, directed by Kiri Manookin, follows an American woman of Ottoman Armenian descent on a personal journey through Türkiye and Armenia as she confronts ancestral trauma, identity, and belonging.
