Governor Newsom signed a law allowing the sale of E15 fuel—a gasoline blend with 15% ethanol—that may lower gas prices by up to 20 cents per gallon as state officials study its effect on air quality and vehicle performance.
Experts warn that older vehicles may not work well with the new blend and could see reduced mileage.
